When bespoke radiator covers are the right route
Most Coverad ranges are made to measure. A bespoke project goes further when the casing design, panel pattern or installation arrangement needs to work around a particular building detail.
You may be working with existing timber joinery, a glazed wall, a tight recess or a decorative feature that needs to be retained. The first step is to understand those interfaces alongside the radiator, valves and pipework. We can work with consultants, contractors and estates teams to develop a practical brief.
Decorative panels
Punched front panels developed around an agreed pattern, with separate ventilation details where required.
Unusual surroundings
Casings and pre-made back panels considered around glazing, frames, timber surrounds and existing radiator positions.
Access built into the brief
Discuss fixed panels or an Eazi-Access arrangement alongside cleaning, valve operation and maintenance needs.
Specify bespoke radiator covers and metalwork
A clear specification records what the casing needs to do and how it will fit. We review the dimensions, panel design and access arrangement with you, then agree the material and finish for the project. Both featured installations below used 2mm steel; that is a project example rather than a universal specification.
| Panel design | Front-panel pattern, slotted or punched openings, separate top panels and adjoining features. |
|---|---|
| Rear arrangement | Back panels, surrounding frames, radiator position, pipework and the proposed fixing detail. |
| Access | Cleaning, maintenance, valve operation and who will need to open or remove the panels. |
| Ventilation | Front and top openings, radiator information and the clearances required for the installation. |
| Finish | Agreed colour and coating specification, including a special RAL colour where required. |
| Programme | Survey access, drawing review, manufacture, delivery and installation requirements. |

Questions about bespoke radiator covers
Can you work with our consultant or contractor?
Yes. At Sandown Town Hall we developed the casing design alongside the consultant for a local main contractor. Share the drawings and the relevant project contacts with your enquiry.
Can the covers fit within timber framework?
Yes, this is an arrangement we have supplied. The timber interfaces, front-panel pattern and top ventilation details need to be agreed for the particular installation.
Can you design around a glazed wall?
We can review the arrangement. Our North Manchester General Hospital installation used bespoke Eazi-Access casings with pre-made back panels beside a glazed corridor wall. Send photographs of the radiator, rear space and frames.
Do we need a standard range or a bespoke design?
If you mainly need project-specific dimensions, start with Standard Steel or Eazi-Access. If the panel design or installation detail needs to change around the building, discuss a bespoke brief with Coverad.
