Coverad manufactures routed and bent uPVC boxing for a self-finished, wipe-clean surface, with powder-coated steel as an alternative where the project calls for metal. Both materials use the same profile selection. The difference is in the material, manufacturing process and finish.

Confirm service clearances, operating temperatures, maintenance access and any fire-performance requirements for the actual installation. Pipe boxing does not replace pipe insulation or fire stopping. Where hot surfaces are accessible, confirm the complete installation’s surface-temperature requirements.

Measure the route, not just the pipe.
A few clear photographs and a marked-up sketch help us resolve the details before manufacture.
Record the full projection
Include pipe insulation, brackets, valves and joints. Allow for the section thickness and the clearance the service needs; viewer dimensions are outside finished dimensions.
Mark every change
Show horizontal and vertical runs, corners, changes in level, uneven walls and the lengths needed. Note where sections meet adjoining finishes.
Keep maintenance practical
Identify valves, connections and inspection points. Agree which sections need to open, how they will be fixed and who needs access.
Send a complete selection
Include profile, material, section dimensions, 1200 or 2400 mm lengths, quantities and finish, together with site photographs and your required programme.

What is Coverad pipe boxing made from?
The standard option is 4.5 mm routed and bent uPVC with a gloss RAL 9010 finish. The alternative is 1.5 mm bent steel with a powder-coated finish.
Which pipe-boxing profile should I choose?
SE is a two-sided square-edge section. CH is a three-sided square channel with equal legs. RE is a two-sided section with a rounded R25 outside corner. AE has a vertical front, a 30° slope from horizontal and a 20 mm flat at the wall. Choose around the route and surrounding surfaces, then agree the final details with Coverad.
What lengths and colours are available?
Standard lengths are 1200 mm and 2400 mm. uPVC is gloss RAL 9010. Steel is RAL 9010 as standard, with other RAL colours available at additional cost.
Can I choose my own section dimensions?
Yes. Enter the outside finished section dimensions in the 3D viewer. The CH profile uses equal leg depths. AE has a minimum 100 × 100 mm section. Copy your selection and send it with drawings or photographs for Coverad to confirm the production specification.
How do I retain access to valves and connections?
Mark every valve, joint and service point on your schedule. Agree access arrangements, removable sections and fixings before ordering. The 3D preview shows the profile; it does not include project-specific access details.
Does uPVC pipe boxing need painting?
No. The gloss uPVC surface is self-finished. Agree the cleaning method and any project-specific finish requirements when specifying.
Can Coverad survey and install the pipe boxing?
Yes. Coverad can support the survey, design, manufacture, supply and installation. Send the service route, site location, dimensions and photographs so the scope can be agreed.
Can I use the viewer as a manufacturing drawing?
The viewer helps communicate shape, outside dimensions and finish. Final drawings, joints, fixings, clearances and production details are agreed with Coverad. It is not a fabrication drawing.
