South East School — Wall-to-Wall Eazi-Access Radiator Covers

Case Study: South East School — Bespoke Wall-to-Wall Eazi-Access Radiator Covers

A school in the South East required a safe, robust radiator cover solution that would look clean and consistent across classrooms, with several locations requiring bespoke wall-to-wall runs rather than standard individual casings.

Coverad surveyed, manufactured, supplied and installed approximately 25 Eazi-Access radiator covers, mainly within classroom areas. Each cover was finished in our standard RAL 9010 textured highly resilient powder coat, providing a clean, durable finish suited to a busy school environment.

Approximately 25 covers
Mainly classroom installations
Bespoke wall-to-wall runs
Key challenge

Several window sills were extremely close to the radiators, leaving very little tolerance for a standard cover design.

Solution

Bespoke Eazi-Access radiator covers, designed around tight site conditions and installed by Coverad for a consistent finish.

Setting

School classrooms and teaching spaces.

Solution

Eazi-Access radiator covers in RAL 9010 textured finish.

Quantity

Approximately 25 covers, mainly installed in classrooms.

Delivery

Surveyed, manufactured, supplied and installed by Coverad.

Why Eazi-Access? In schools, long-term maintenance matters. Eazi-Access supports practical servicing access without turning routine adjustments into a disruption.

The challenge: wall-to-wall covers with very tight sill clearances

The school required a neat and consistent finish across several classroom radiator positions. In some areas, the best solution was a continuous wall-to-wall cover run, creating a cleaner visual result and helping the new covers feel fully integrated into the room.

The main difficulty was the proximity of the window sills to the radiators. Where sills sit extremely close, there is far less room to work with, meaning the design, survey and installation all need to be accurate.

  • Very tight top clearances due to the window sill position
  • Longer wall-to-wall runs requiring consistent alignment
  • Classroom suitability, including safe edges, robust construction and cleanable surfaces
  • Service access to avoid future maintenance becoming unnecessarily disruptive
Why survey mattered: when window sills are this close to the radiator, small measurement errors can quickly become installation problems. Survey-led manufacture helped avoid guesswork.

Delivery approach

The project was delivered through a straightforward, survey-led process designed to reduce risk and ensure every cover fitted correctly.

  • Survey: window sill clearances, radiator positions, valves and site conditions were checked before manufacture.
  • Manufacture: covers were made bespoke to suit each location, including wall-to-wall spans.
  • Supply and install: Coverad installed the covers to ensure alignment, fit and finish were consistent.
  • Finish: all covers were powder coated in RAL 9010 textured for a durable and clean classroom appearance.
Practical detail: tight sill environments are exactly where Eazi-Access and accurate surveying help prevent fitting issues and future access problems.

Results

  • Approximately 25 Eazi-Access covers supplied and installed, mainly within classrooms.
  • Bespoke wall-to-wall runs delivered for a clean, unified finish.
  • RAL 9010 textured highly resilient powder coat provided a durable and bright finish.
  • Extremely tight window sill clearances were managed through survey-led design and installation.
  • Long-term maintenance access was improved through the use of Eazi-Access covers.
